RatDog's Summer Shaping Up
RatDog's got a busy summer ahead with tour dates in May, June, July, and August already announced and more to come. The Dog next hits the stage with a two-night excursion to the northeast for shows at Hampton Beach and Mountain Jam.

After a few weeks off, RatDog embarks on what could be its most interestingly booked tour in... uhhhh... well... ever with ten of the thirteen shows at venues RatDog has never played - including a pair of wineries, a botanical garden, a casino, and High Sierra. Gov't Mule opens most of those late June/early July shows.

The Dog then goes on tour with The Allman Brothers Band in mid-August. RatDog will open the shows, though they're technically "co-headliners" and therefore should have a decently long time on stage each night. (How's that for vague?) There are dates still to be announced, but as of now the tour heads from Jones Beach to Red Rocks over a two-week period.

So, although there are shows scheduled in only 12 states, the band has 24 shows on the book as of now, a lot of them in pretty cool places. Time to start making travel plans!

RatDog Rolling Down the Coast
RatDog ended a week in the northeast with a weird n wonderful three-night run in NYC. Reviews varied wildly from person to person, indicative of the "road less traveled" that RatDog's music often takes. This was particularly visible in the middle show of the Beacon run, which featured saxomophonists George Garzone and Doug Yates, vocalist Dana Fuchs, and most of Alphabet Soup.

The circus is now in Baltimore, where RatDog sang the National Anthem at the Orioles' game on Monday and Bob & Jay played a Headcount benefit on Monday night. The latter was brief due to Bob's voice being strained and featured the crowd on vocals while Bob n Jay played along.

Some good stuff to check out: a new MK interview, a videocast with Bobby, and this video of Bobby talking blues:
