What a weekend! I was walking down the field when the audience let out a roar as band came on stage. I ran down to my seat in the pavilion as they started into the opening jam. My adrenaline was pumping big time by the time I got down to my seat. The vibes of the crowd were super wild for 3:30 in the afternoon. They came out of the jam into He's Gone which was very upbeat for this song, then snapped into Shakedown Street! People were screaming, and jumping in the air as the first riff rang out into the venue! Hands were flying everywhere and waving all around, and the place echoed with a big WOOOOO at the end of each verse. Minglewood Blues kept the energy train rolling with it's raunchy rhythm and the "Wisconsin phillies" sure knew what to do! Loser was next and was done in an upbeat fashion also, and then they broke into Ashes and Glass, which I consider the remake of Throwing Stones. Next it was time to go to church. When Bobby grabbed the tambourine, everyone knew what was going to happen. A few shakes of Bobby's wrist and a stomping drum beat, chains broke like thread, as the audience let loose! More shouting, stomping, jumping and arms waving every which way, as we tore the old building down! The dancing kept on going on into Bass/Drums that worked its way into the instrumental parts of Terrapin Station, sending us a clue to what was to come from The Other Ones. Wharf Rat crept out of bass/drums and was done with a ringing jam, into Jeff's piano solo that started Two Djinn. Two Djinn had two swirling jams that were pleasing to the ears, and Corrina busted out to shake it up once more. The crowd started the famous hand clap and the ending of Corrina, which fed the band enough energy to bust out Not Fade Away. Bobby belted the first words to the song and pointed his finger across the audience as the crowd went wild once more with the dancing, and singing "not fade away" until the band finally left the stage.
