Bob Weir and RatDog | RatDog.Org

I must say after reading the reviews of the previously played shows on this tour, I am wondering if I was even attending Ratdog on the same tour.... I couldn't wait until the babysitter got here and my husband and I got to the show. I had great expectations for this show but left the show feeling a bit disappointed....

The venue was excellent and there wasn't a bad seat in the house.... Tommorrow Never Knows was very well-played and I must say The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion was first class and rockin' and really blew my socks off..... (This was the best song of the entire show....)

The acoustic Blackbird was really sweet as well..... The Lady with a Fan into Terrapin was also another high point of the show.... The Standing on the Moon was tight and very well-played, and the Corrina was smokin' as well....

As for the rest of the show, the Truckin' and U.S. Blues were played OK--good but nothing to write home about. The remainder of the show was just way too "Bobby and the Midnights" for my taste....

I have only seen Ratdog at least 2 times per year since they began and this was not one of their best nights except for the highlights above.... Overall an OK show, but still left the Casino feeling like I missed out on a possibilty for a dynamite night of music.... Hopefully better luck next tour... maybe....

Ratdog takes the stage for the second night. Again, more Dylan tunes. Weir shows respect for Bob Dylan, who will be arriving at the Turning Stone on in two short weeks. Very ecclectic show. The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion was a nice treat, and Standing on the Moon was a nice way to pay tribute to the Pope on the day that the world says goodbye.

There was not as much energy as the previous night. I knew it would be difficult to beat Tequila > Silvio > Tequila > Silvio > Tequila > Silvio > Women are Smarter. What was the deal with U.S. Blues and the dude running around stage like a lunatic with an American flag? That was the cheesiest thing that I have ever seen at a Ratdog concert. Just let the band do what you do well: play music!

Neighborhood shows are always special so let's get them back next year at the Turning Stone in the Event Center (5,000). Enjoy the remaining shows on tour. Hope to see you again.
